FAQ
What types of photography sessions do you offer?
I specialise in newborn, maternity, Fresh 48 and family photography. Each session is designed to gently capture your family’s connection in a natural, relaxed and timeless way.
Where do sessions take place?
• Posed and mini newborn sessions are held in my warm and cosy home studio in Morley. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be held at your home or in the studio.
• Fresh 48 sessions take place at your hospital or place of birth
• Maternity session can be held either in the studio or outdoors at Sunset. Family sessions are held outdoors at sunset.
- Milestone baby sessions are held in the studio.

When should i book my newborn session?

The best time to book your newborn session is during your second or third trimester to ensure availability around your due date. Your due date is pencilled into my calendar and we finalise a date once baby has arrived.
For posed newborn sessions your session will ideally take place when baby is under 3 weeks old. This is when they are still sleepy and curly for poses.
What should we wear to our session?
For all sessions I recommend wearing something your most comfortable in. I find neutral earthy colours look best with my editing style. Some things to avoid are bold fussy prints or anything with a logo.
You are also welcome to access my client wardrobe to make styling simple and stress free.

What if my baby has already arrived?

Please still reach out! I always do my best to accommodate last-minute newborn bookings where possible.
When is the best time to book my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are best photographed between 29–36 weeks, when your belly is beautifully showing but you’re still feeling comfortable enough to move around with ease.
Do you provide outfits or props?
Yes! I have a carefully curated client wardrobe available for:
• Newborns
• Babies
• Mums
• Young children
I also provide all wraps, blankets, headbands and props for newborn sessions so you don’t need to worry about bringing a thing.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Absolutely! I encourage parents and siblings to be part of your session to capture genuine connection and love between your family. Siblings and parents are included in all session types.
How do I book a session?
Simply head to the Contact page of my website and fill out the enquiry form.
I’ll then be in touch with availability, session information and the next steps.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes travel in included to selected locations for outdoors sessions. Some locations include the beach, field, Perth hills and river. However a travel fee may apply for locations outside of this.
What happens if the weather is bad for our outdoor session?
If the weather isn’t suitable, we will simply reschedule your session to the next available date.
Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my booking?
Yes a non-refundable session retainer is required to secure your booking.
Your session is not confirmed until this and your booking form has been received.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! Photography sessions make a beautiful and meaningful gift for expecting or new parents.

What is a Fresh 48 session?

A Fresh 48 session takes place within the first 24–48 hours after your baby’s birth, usually in the hospital or at home if you're having a home birth.
These sessions focus on documenting those first real moments — tiny fingers, first cuddles, meeting siblings — in a natural, lifestyle approach without any props or posing.
How long does a session go for?
• Posed & lifetstyle newborn sessions are up to 2–3 hours to allow time for feeding and settling. Mini newborn sessions are 1 hour
• Maternity & family sessions are approximately 1 hour
• Milestone baby sessions are approximately 1-1.5hrs hours
• Fresh 48 sessions are 1-1.5 hours
What if my baby won’t settle?
That’s completely okay babies run the show! I can assure you I have seen every type of newborn and baby over the years.
I allow plenty of time during newborn sessions for feeding, cuddling and settling so there is never any pressure or rush.
Your baby’s comfort and safety are my highest priority, and I follow their cues throughout the entire session.
When will we receive our photos?
Your online proof gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session. Once you have made your image selections your final edited images will be delivered in 2-4 weeks.
How and how many images will we receive?
Each session includes a set number of professionally edited digital images, with the option to upgrade your gallery once you receive it. All galleries are viewable and downloadable via a password and pin protected online gallery.
Can we request specific poses or setups?
Of course! You’re welcome to let me know if there are any colours, poses or styles you love. I will always do my best to incorporate your preferences while keeping your baby’s comfort and safety in mind.
What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s no problem at all! When you book your newborn session, I pencil you in based on your due date. Once your baby arrives, we will confirm a suitable session date within the ideal newborn window.
If you have any questions at all feel free to get in touch!
